The island Vis in the Croatian region of Dalmatia has beautiful beaches and little nice cities. It’s a great diving spot, since Croatia has an almost untouched underwater world. Even for wreck divers there are a couple ships to be explored. I went on two diving trips with Manta Diving in the city Komiza- from the boat into the sea. We had clear water with about 25m sight, lots of fish and met a small kalmar who stayed a little to play.

To get onto the boat, the divers had to climb over a stone (photos on the Manta Diving Komiza website), but there was the possibility to swim to the back of the boat and be lifted on board and afterwards lifted into the sea with a small lift. The toilets were not accessible and the way to the diving center flat, but long and steep and not accessible by car. The diving center offered a pick up at the harbour to have access to the boat at ground level.
